Nils A. Koch

I am a computational neuroscientist and PhD student in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience in the lab of Dr. Anmar Khadra at McGill University. I am interested in the neuronal excitability and dynamics at the single neuron and network level. I have a B.Sc Hons in Neuroscience from the University of Alberta where I investigated the neural control of respiration in the lab of Dr. Silvia Pagliardini. I completed my Master of Science in Neural and Behavioural Science from the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen in Tübingen, Germany where I worked in the lab of Dr. Jan Benda in collaboration with Dr. Holger Lerche, Dr. Yuanyuan Liu, Dr. Ulrike Hedrich-Klimosch and Dr. Stephan Lauxmann on computational modelling of ion channel mutations associated with epilepsy and episodic ataxis, personalized medicine approaches for channelopathies, and in silico screening of therapeutic approaches.
